Our LATAM Translation Team Lead is a team lead role that requires solid people management and account management skills to successfully coordinate our client projects and our local team, who mostly focus on market research translation projects that involve the use of CAT tools, translation memories and machine translation engines. The successful candidate is expected to be able to drive, motivate and help our teams in Mexico City, adapt to a rapidly changing business, have experience in people management and coaching, as well as experience and energy to ensure the team respond to client needs.

The role will be based in our Mexico City office (hybrid working model) and will report to our London HQ.


This position will be managing a team of 6-7 Localisation Project Managers and will report to the Team Manager. The main responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and manage a team providing end-to-end linguistic services, such as market research localisation, survey and opens translation, background/desk research and market insights to our US-based, market research clients
  • Supervise and support team members on workload and delegation, being their first point of escalation for project matters
  • Create project plans, cost estimates and manage budgets
  • Ensure the team follow processes and deliver client files within the agreed timelines
  • Report and align with the London-based team manager, who has overall accountability for this team including team members in other locations
  • Contribute to shaping internal processes
  • Monitor, train and develop existing and new team members. Help us grow the team’s skills and knowledge as necessary to keep on top of increasing workflow, ensuring seamless and efficient client management
  • Maintain client relationship and communication ensuring client satisfaction dealing with client escalations as they arise
  • Liaising with clients to provide them with recommendations and best practises
  • Lead by example and ensure our local office has the support and skills to grow and succeed



  • Proven experience in a team lead/team manager position in the localisation/translation industry.
  • Based in Mexico City.
  • Track record in client-facing roles.
  • Experience in people management, account management and growing teams.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Energetic and driven.
  • Passionate about languages.


  • Experience working with multilingual content.
  • Fluent English written and verbal communication skills. Any other language is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business.
  • Open mind towards technology and automation.
  • Proactive and solutions-driven approach to work.
  • Experience in transcreation or creative translation projects.
