Business Development Director (Federal Sales)

Our client is a well-established organization that specializes in providing language, translation and interpreting services to the federal government. They have recently been awarded major contracts with government agencies to provide 24/7 over-the-phone interpretation services that will increase safety and security in the US and globally. The leadership team possesses charisma, ambition, and a strong commitment to their mission. They describe the company as inclusive, with each employee playing a role in shaping its culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target new business opportunities within the federal government sector
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve targets and drive revenue growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and presentations to clients

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years' recent successful sales experience specifically within the federal government
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to operate independently
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, reflecting confidence and market knowledge
  • Familiarity with federal agency structures, procurement processes, and industry trends
  • Previous relationships or contacts in the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and Intelligence Community (IC) is preferred
