Localization Project Manager

We’re looking for a Localization Project Manager to join our team based in Santa Monica.

We write, translate, transcreate and edit in more than 100 languages, as well as developing corporate language guidelines, educating our clients’ teams about clear writing and advising companies on the cultural differences they need to pay attention to when going global. Meanwhile, our elegant and flexible online platform makes organizing multilingual communication as easy as booking a flight.

You in a nutshell

You have a passion for languages and writing. You’ve managed creative projects for an agency or LSP and understand what it takes to put together briefs and meet client expectations. You’re super organized, a great multitasker, but always focused. You have experience building relationships and are not afraid to pick up the phone. Communication and teamwork come naturally to you. You’re looking to grow with our startup and give it your all to make things happen.

• Approx. five years of experience at a major LSP
• Tech savvy and fast learner of new tools and software
• Experience with SDL Trados and/or other CAT tools
• Knowledge of linguist recruitment and quality control methods
• Native speaker of a language other than English (Spanish, Portuguese or Chinese preferred)
• Great writing skills in English
• University bachelor degree or higher
• Candidates in South and Central America as well as Japan are strongly encouraged to apply.

Supertext USA is the newest Supertext branch and is in the growth phase, so each team member counts. As a project manager, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following points:

• Be the first point of contact for clients and build valuable business relationships
• Be responsible for the entire project life cycle and consult clients
• Submit quotations for copywriting and translation projects
• Work together with language managers to implement projects
• Actively recruit linguists to join our network
• Play an active role in assuring linguistic quality
• Leverage Supertext’s unique online system
• Work with international team of developers and language specialists in Europe
