We are seeking a hands-on Localization Technology Manager who enjoys spearheading future technology initiatives and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. This critical role will be responsible for renewing our tech stack, developing and implementing a competitive technology roadmap, automating workflows, and integrating AI solutions. The successful candidate will manage a team, ensuring they effectively support production processes, including their creation and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the overhaul and modernization of our current technology stack to enhance efficiency, scalability, and competitiveness.
Develop and execute a strategic technology roadmap that aligns with business objectives and positions LinguaLinx as an industry leader.
Identify opportunities to automate existing processes and workflows to improve productivity and reduce manual effort.
Implement AI and machine learning solutions to drive innovation and streamline operations within the localization process.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of direct reports, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of scripts and tools to support production, particularly in file conversion and automation tasks.
Work closely with Operations to integrate technology seamlessly into production processes, while also providing technical support and insights to the Sales team as required.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure LinguaLinx remains at the forefront of the localization industry.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
In-depth knowledge of localization technologies, including CAT tools, Translation Management Systems (TMS), Global Content Management Systems (CMS), and scripting for automation (Python, JavaScript, etc.).
Strong understanding of localization concepts, methodologies, and tools.
Experience working with multiple Translation Management Systems and Localization Project Management Systems.
Experience working with Plunet and/or XTRF are required.
Proven ability to lead and develop a technology team, driving both individual and team performance.
Experience in creating and executing technology strategies that deliver business value and drive competitive advantage.
Demonstrated experience in implementing automation and AI solutions within a production environment.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and microservices architecture is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges.
Multilingual skills and cultural awareness preferred.
