Director of Translation
My client, a small and fast-growing Language Services company, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Director of Translation to lead a translation team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, business development, and client relationship management, with a deep understanding of the translation market. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement sales strategies and build strong relationships with clients.
This position requires a Translation Manager with prior experience in a Production/Operations role and LSP company, as well as prior Sales experience.
Responsibilities
• Manage and lead a team of translation professionals to achieve sales targets, by delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth, by analyzing and refining market trends and competitor activities .
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing clients.
• Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to the Leadership Team.
Requirements
• Proven experience in sales leadership, preferably in the translation industry.
• Strong business development and client relationship management skills with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Proven ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
• Experience managing and leading a team of project and account management 4-5 professionals.
• Knowledge of translation and localization services and market trends.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience
