Job Description

We are currently looking for an Associate Project Manager. This position is open to candidates in any location throughout the world. This is a work-from-home role. The Associate Project Manager role is our entry point into project management at Multilingual Connections, and candidates for this role are typically recent college graduates or those new to the language industry.

We look for applicants with a love of language and strong, empathetic communication skills. Our ideal candidates communicate effectively by understanding the needs of their different audiences and stakeholders. They are exceptionally detail-oriented and organized, and understand how to keep the information they need at their fingertips to stay on schedule. They thrive in a fast-paced, multilingual, and multicultural environment.

Project management:

  • Quote new translation and transcription projects, prepare files, proactively communicate with linguists, desktop publishers and clients. Create and manage project timelines. Conduct quality control and prepare files for delivery.


  • Update systems with pertinent client and linguist information.


  • Prepare weekly and monthly status reports as needed.


  • Identify best use of resources; analyze, escalate and resolve problems as they arise and develop a plan to prevent future problems.


  • Meet/exceed gross margin goals while maintaining quality standards and schedules.

Customer Service:

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and linguists.


  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred bilingual, Spanish fluency a plus
  • Enthusiasm for language and culture
  • Able to prioritize multiple projects to ensure high quality and on-time delivery
  • Really, really, really detail-oriented - and you LOVE it!
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Preferred experience working with a remote team
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Tech-savvy; preferred experience with Google Apps
  • Preferred experience with translation and/or transcription
  • Sense of humor ideal!
  • Ability to work from home
