TAUS, the language data network, is planning to expand in North America. We are looking for a business development manager who will lead the start-up and growth of the North-American operations.
TAUS offers data and data services to companies that are developing MT and NLP applications helping them to communicate in all languages, faster, better and more efficiently. The TAUS technology and solutions consist of:
The TAUS Data Marketplace, the largest industry-shared repository of language data, offers developers access to customized corpora, data cleaning and curation, and allows publishers and translation operators to monetize their data.
The Human Language Project, an online micro-task platform combined with TAUS communities around the world providing data creation, annotation and quality review services.
Language engineering consultancy offered by the TAUS NLP team.
The role: The new Head of Business North America will initially work on expanding existing customer relationships and developing business with new customers. As the business grows, the opportunity will arise for the establishment of account and project management functions.
Main tasks: The Head of Business North America will focus on:
Developing new business opportunities for TAUS
Expanding business with existing customers
Recruiting sellers of language data in for the Data Marketplace
Providing account management for running projects
Good foundation in client acquisition in AI or translation industry
Experience in account management in data services
Solid understanding of language services operations
Available 32-40 hours/week
Location: The position is based in North America, preferably on the West Coast of the USA.
