As a Program Manager in Operations, you’ll play a key role in growing our existing business through service and technology lead development. This includes engaging with multiple stakeholders across the company and helping to ensure customer happiness, optimizing the return of client business, and ensuring quality compliance of our internal customer feedback process. As a driver in cross-functional customer-centric teams, you’ll be responsible for working closely with our Operations, Sales, and Product teams to establish and grow our existing key accounts.
A successful candidate will be highly customer-focused, analytical, technical, resourceful, team-oriented, and can work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines at scale.
Proactively design and present program management initiatives to existing clients
Collaborate with a multinational and multifunctional team
Adding and implementing new service lines if requested by existing customers
Collaborate with various members of the Operations, Sales, and Product teams to assess the scope of work and produce cost estimates
Align with the Key Account Manager on the competitive landscape and develop action items, create project proposals, negotiate a budget, and schedule regular operation and reporting meetings with the client
Build new client relationships by attending sales meetings and supporting KAM in the preparation of RFP responses and cost estimates for new businesses
Take a proactive role in learning about clients’ industries, business needs, and company cultures, educating the Operations team and providing a high level of service and support
Perform workflow design for translation services and technology implementations together with our onboarding team
Monitor and communicate project progress, ensure strict adherence to deadlines and budgets, and ultimately produce high-quality deliverables for your key accounts
Serve as the primary point of contact for your key accounts
Set and fulfill client expectations e.g. agree on process requirements with the client, build program plan, ensure documentation of all agreements and processes
A minimum of 5 years experience on the operational side of the translation industry, ideally in a Senior Operations Manager role. Any experience in Key Account Management is a plus
Ability to estimate resources, technical setup, and timing of complex multilingual translation projects
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; must be able to take active measures to solve problems and commit to a high level of service
Effective time management and ability to be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Superior written and spoken communication skills in English. Other languages would be an asset
Ability to work well with people from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures, work independently, and as part of a team
Experience in coordinating projects and assignment of resources is a plus
Excellent communication skills in German and English
